Your presence and paid memberships enable LBC to create ongoing insightful, fun, and enlightening experiences for you as alumni.ALUMNI ENGAGEMENT COMMITTEE: Creates a valuable alumni experience and network by planning, implementing and promoting alumni events/activities; encourages alumni engagement through ongoing volunteer opportunities, event attendance, and payment of annual memberships by emailing/texting/calling; brings ideas to the committee from alumni regarding how they want to engage with LBC; serves as alumni liaison.BOARD OF DIRECTORS: Determines the mission and long-range plan of the organization; legal, ethical and financial oversight; hires and fires the chief executive; and, ensures the organization is working towards achieving its mission at the highest quality.BOARD NOMINATING COMMITTEE: Strategically tracks and analyzes demographic, psychographic, geographic and skill areas of board members; identifies board candidates where representation is missing; determines the slate of directors and officers for election to the Board of Directors annually.FINANCE COMMITTEE: Plans, oversees and reports on the financial condition of the organization; oversees internal financial controls, accountability, annual audits and investments.MARKETING & PR COMMITTEE: Develops communications and messaging targeted to specific market segments; establishes value propositions; monitors web site, social media analytics and press relations.PROGRAM COMMITTEE: Continuously enhances the curriculum guidelines and experiential activities; develops and monitors performance metrics and indicators; plans process for white papers (i.e., what topics, who determines position, etc.); assesses opportunities and creates plans for expansion to multiple leadership programs.STRATEGIC ALLIANCES COMMITTEE: Develops strategy, conducts outreach and sets up meetings with corporations, nonprofits and government agencies to identify how we could partner for our mutual benefit; identifies opportunities and makes presentations to a wide array of groups and events on topics of interest to the group (i.e., corporate lunch and learns, business expos, faith-based organizations, sororities/fraternities); goals include filling classes with optimal mix of sector/industry representatives and raising operational and scholarship funds through partnerships, sponsorships, foundation grants and other strategic opportunities.ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT: Data management, membership mailing support, designing surveys, assembling materials for opening and closing retreats, researching contact information for alumni who have moved, etc.A/V/TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT for Virtual and In-Person Mtgs: Support of virtual meetings, providing insight on new software, attending events to help with A/V, etc.COACHING CLASS PLANNING TEAM: Support a future planning team by serving as one of their two alumni coaches. LBC provides training and tools to coaches. Each interview is 45 - 60 minutes via ZOOM. Question guides and rating sheets are provided. Interviewers may sign up for as few or as many interviews as you'd like.MARKETING SUPPORT: Creating flyers, drafting social media posts, creating graphics for print pieces, drafting press releases, editing videos and photos, etc.NOMINATING CANDIDATES TO LBC: The best way to grow your LBC network is to nominate great candidates for future classes. Who do you know that would benefit from and bring value to LBC? Who would bring and share unique perspectives to class discussions?SPEAKING TO CANDIDATES AT INFORMATION SESSIONS: LBC's 1-hour virtual information sessions run once per month January - May. Share your perspective and advice as an alum.
