Journalism in the Age of Fake News: Q&A with Rhonda Pringle, BBJ Publisher

How do you know if a news story is real?  With the aid of social media, the proliferation of false news stories has reached a fever pitch, making it harder for the public to know what news sources to trust. Rhonda Pringle, Publisher and Market President for the Baltimore Business Journal, will explore the reasons for the rise in fake news, the danger it imposes upon society, and how the public can guard against it.

Join LBC for an insightful discussion with Rhonda Pringle, the first female AND the first African-American to be named publisher of the Baltimore Business Journal. Pringle, a Florida native, joined the BBJ earlier this year from its sister paper, the Phoenix Business Journal, where she was advertising director. The Baltimore and Phoenix papers are part of the American City Business Journals’ chain of business newspapers
