Leadership Baltimore County Announces Addition of New Board Members

We are pleased to announce the appointments of four new members to its Board of Directors. Brian Bailey, Brian Crowell, Barak Hermann, and Michelle Willie. The board members were installed at LBC’s October board meeting, and their terms will last through 2026.

Brian Bailey, LBC Class of 2023, wears multiple hats at Tradepoint Atlantic. In his primary role as the Director of Safety, Brian leads all occupational safety and health initiatives for Tradepoint Atlantic, a Redwood Capital Investments company, based in Sparrows Point, MD. Brian also holds the position of Executive Director of the Empowerment Academy. He leads the company’s endeavors to establish this specialized training and investment program, specifically designed for minority, veteran, and women-owned small businesses. He earned his BA from the University of Maryland Baltimore County.

Brian Crowell, LBC Class of 2022, is a Senior Associate, Practice Leader at KCI Technologies, Inc. Brian has more than 20 years of experience in gas and electric utility design. Throughout his career, he has worked on distribution gas and electric, private residence, outdoor lighting, and system expansion projects. Before KCI, Brian worked at Baltimore Gas and Electric for 10 years. Brian’s goals center around marketing his practice and cross-selling KCI to clients—currently Exelon and Duke. Brian is an advocate for giving back to his community and is the lead contact at KCI for the company’s United Way giving efforts.

Barak Hermann, LBC Class of 2023, is the Chief Executive Officer at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) of Greater Baltimore. For more than two decades, Barak has been in leadership roles for various JCC locations in Northeast America. He has a vast array of experience in Nonprofit Organizations, Governance, Strategic Planning, Change Management, Coaching, Financial Management, Administration, and Philanthropy. Barak has degrees from Johnson & Wales Univ., Stony Brook Univ., and, Yeshia Univ., along with multiple certificates, most recently from the Harvard Business School and the Charles & Lynn Schusterman Foundation.

Michelle Willie LBC Class of 2023 is the Director of Primary Care at Kaiser Permanente. A registered nurse, Michelle has been in the healthcare industry since 2000. She has an MBA from Western Governors University and a Master of Science from Towson University.
