LBC Legacy Challenge

Invest in Community Leadership's Future

(logo with intersecting colorful shapes, captial L for Legacy and white starburst) (photo of man in suit with trees in background) Let’s meet the challenge of LBC’s founding board chair, Mike Chesser, who will match every dollar up to $50,000 to support LBC scholarships.

DONATE TODAY. Double your impact. Build a legacy.

Invest in Tomorrow’s Leaders Today

Leadership Baltimore County (LBC) is proud to announce a transformative opportunity to support changemakers in our community. Michael (Mike) J. Chesser, LBC’s founding board chair, has generously pledged to match every dollar donated—up to $50,000—in support of our scholarship fund in memory of LBC’s founding executive director, Elayne Hettleman. Your gift will go twice as far in empowering the next generation of leaders.  (See more of Mike's LBC alumni story HERE.)

Ensure Access

Each year, LBC welcomes a diverse cohort of 50+ professionals committed to shaping a stronger Baltimore County for all. Many promising candidates face financial barriers that prevent them from participating. We expect the number to grow with federal, state and county budget constraints and rising costs across the board. LBC scholarship support is more critical than ever to ensure that leadership aptitude—not income—determines access to this life-changing experience.

Your Gift, Matched 1:1

Every dollar you contribute will be matched by Mike’s generous support, helping to build a stronger Baltimore County. In additional to charitable contributions today, LBC can now accept Qualified Charitable Donations, IRA distributions, and planned gifts. Consider making Leadership Baltimore County part of your legacy. Talk to your tax advisor about your options.
