Baltimore County Leader Insight: Sabrina Jones, VP Operations, Walters Relocations

A Special Interview: May 2025

Sabrina Jones is a member of LBC ’25 and the Annual Celebration Planning Committee. She shares her inside look at both her cohort and the special event.

What you are most excited about for the June 4 Celebration?

I am most excited about celebrating with my fellow cohort members our successful completion of 10-months of in depth experiential learning, as well as celebrating each of them for their hard work, creativity and impactful input in designing their respective retreat. I am convinced that it is always good to acknowledge, savor and mark the completion of any achievement great or small with a recognition of self-appreciation.

What do you think attendees will most enjoy?

Attendees will enjoy the natural fun-loving synergy that exudes from the Class of 2025. From the very beginning we have been connected in uplifting, partnering and supporting one another. This closing is truly a reflection of us “Savoring Relationships” and building bridges amongst ourselves and with the community we serve. The atmosphere will be ripe for all to have a memorable and enjoyable experience. Who doesn’t enjoy a backyard BBQ with a purpose, where you can eat delish food, drink cold libations cocktails and play games! Join in the fun! Why did you choose to join the planning committee for this annual event?

I chose to join the planning committee as another opportunity to work closely with other members of our cohort as we set out to plan a closing celebration that was reflective of who we are as a cohort. To help to create an event that members of the Class of 2025 and guests would revel in the surprises, the details and the expressions of thoughtfulness that motivated our planning decisions.

In your opinion, what personal trait is most important to being a good leader and why?

I believe the personal trait of being a good communicator is necessary to being a good leader. A good leader must be able to communicate her vision and direction in a way that inspires her entire team to move in respective formation for the achievement of an identified goal(s). Through communication she must also be able to listen intently and respond respectfully to challenges and matters of concern. Transparent, deliberate and respectful communication can lead any qualified team to success.
